Improving Steadily!

TJ Patriots have joined a new league the MMYFCL in search for more competition and greater opportunities.  They found it! 

Overall, this organization draws from a very good talent pool and was a perennial all star in the MVYFL historically rolling over most everyone every year in the Mountain Valley Youth Football League.   GTJAY Patriots are making adjustments for the new competition and when they get established in the new league you better look out b/c this group can field some pretty good teams that will suprise some people.  TJ has elected to field spring indoor arena teams this spring and has demonstrated real success going by the scores and success so far.  This has really been a boost for the players and coaches.  It demonstrates the level of committment necessary to keep up with the competition and keep kids active in football.  The local high school coaches can't say enough about how they love this new indoor league.  Linganore, Urbana and TJ are leading the way for indoor football in Frederick County.  Look for results this fall.  If your child lives in the TJ High School feeder pattern this is the only place for you to ensure kids get used to playing with each other and are properly prepared for High School Football.  Thomas Johnson is rich in football tradition and this program's perks far exceed those of neighboring inner city league play by allowing kids more choice, age appropriate divisions and multiple skill levels.  I would sign up for a league mandating my 9 yr old play up with older kids b/c they offer no 9yr old teams.  Same for 11 year olds... why should they play with older kids when they can play with kids in the same grade and size level.  This is a guideline of USA Football principles for youth football in their recent publications.

Basics:  TJ's colors are Red,White and Blue. The team feeds players into Governor Thomas Johnson High School.  As a result of the High School feeder I presume this group will be around for a while and win some superbowls along the way.
