The West Howard County Warhawks are highly competitive and have a huge draw area attracting kids from many High School Districts. This group is well funded, organized and poised to win. I believe the Warhawks register over 450 players so they field teams in all age levels and all stages of ability. The coaches for the Warhawks youth football program are extremely dedicated guys and they really know how to field a winning team. Look if you are reading this now it's probably way too late to register for the Warhawks youth football program anyway. Follow this link to the Park and Rec's web page and see for yourself.
O.K. when you are wrong say you are wrong so I must retract my earlier comments about these guys focusing on winning first. I've had the opportunity now to get to know the program in a broader sense and with the new information that has rolled in I have to say this is a great organization and does a great job finding and training quality coaches. My previous opinion was centered around what parents were saying but I later found out it was only one coach and he is no longer with the program. Keep in mind these guys draw from several different high school areas so the competition is fierce for the most competitive levels of play. The only thing is they don't have a place for the kids who are big for their age to play w/ other kids unless they play way up in age against older boys who usually have much better athletic ability and motor skill development. At the older ages there are limitations for bigger players who may not be able to participate. If that is the case for your son you may find a good home w/ Linganore or Urbana's programs "part of the LUYAA organization".
